Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. He blends soul gospel jazz with R&B to create a unique blend. Avery Sunshine has performed on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe as well as the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's given name is Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta but she is in Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing and playing the piano in church. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her journey of music in the Atlanta's R&B music scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You A house 12 released only in Japan It was later remixed by a variety of producers and has become an essential part of her live set. Her voice also appeared in the music video for The Fighting Temptations. In 2005 she was hired as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. In 2007 Grammy and Tony award-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director for the stage production of Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was the subject of national media interest during four consecutive performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was subsequently invited to sing at the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
