Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz professionally known by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. The name of her parents was derived from the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz' father was an editor and writer and editor, as was Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's father and mother have both been Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. Uria is Ryder's younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are the half siblings of Ryder. Ryder as well as her entire family moved to Mendocino County in California, when Ryder was only seven years old. At the time, there wasn't electricity. Ryder was an avid read and often spent her time reading books because she had no television. Ryder started to take acting classes at the American Conservatory Theatre when she was 12 years old. In 1986 she landed her first role on the big screen in the movie Lucas when she was just fifteen years old. Ryder was bullied throughout high school. Ryder hoped her career as an actress could make a difference. However, the plan didn't pan out. However, it didn't stop her from following her dreams. Her biggest break was in 1988 when she appeared in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was able to continue her successful performances in various films. Ryder was nominated twice for Academy Awards one for her role on The Age of Innocence (1993).
