Queen Latifah

Dana Elaine Owens - better popularly referred to as Queen Latifah - is an American actress, rapper and acrobat. Queen Latifah is an American actress, rapper as well as a singer. Queen Latifah's parents are Lancelot and Rita Owens. Both were police officers. Rita was a Newark New Jersey teacher who was a teacher in Irvington High School. Her father and mother split when Latifah turned ten. Latifah was born and brought up in Newark New Jersey attended Catholic schools in Newark. Latifah is a word that means gentle and gentle. Her mother gave it to her at the age of eight years old. Latifah has always been large, at 5'10" and was the power forward of her high-school basketball team.
